One of the joys of doing what I get to do is the opportunity to have a relaxed, un-scripted, freeform conversation with engaging conversationalists. This was one of those evenings. Barry Friedman, author of “The Joke Was On Me,” without a doubt one of the most intense, personal, unsparing memoirs I have ever read was generous with his time and covered ground you’ve likely wondered about, but never knew.
Enjoy. I did.
